Dropping this April as a Nike SB Orange Label offering (aka skate-shop exclusive) is a strapped Dunk Mid interestingly inspired by Ken Griffey Jr.’s most significant signature shoe – the jordan 11 gamma blue. Debuting back in 1996, this “Freshwater” mix matched the lefty slugger’s Mariners garb, immediately recognizable for its segmented full-length Max Air unit, forefoot Swoosh, and his jersey number proudly emblazoned on the strap’s lockdown tab. The same teal, black, and white colorway appears on the Nike SB Dunk Mid, with the “58” possibly referring to what Nike SB did with the jordan retro 11 concord Mid in 2018, a resulting design created by skate-shop employees from prominent establishments. Again, the shoes are set for a release in April, but with the current global crisis surrounding COVID-19, all drops should be considered tentative until further notice.
