A little over a year ago, Kanye West and adidas adidas ultra boost got together to release the adidas Yeezy Boost 750. Fun fact about this collaboration: This was not the first time that Kanye West and adidas linked up to work on a sneaker. Turns out that they created a shoe way before the 750, back in 2006. Today we get our first look at the first ever Kanye West x adidas sneaker.

As noted above, West designed a shoe for adidas back in 2006. This shoe recently stepped into the spotlight when a former adidas employee who took part in the collaborative project felt it was only right to show the world a shoe that very few people know about. Ben Pruess, former global director of adidas Originals and now a senior VP adidas uk at Under Armour, shows us the shoe which is an adidas Rod Laver Vintage model recreated by Mr. West. As you can see by the images above, new features on the shoe include the Kanye West bear logo placed on the tongue adidas boost ultra as well as on the midsole under the heel.

The Pharrell x adidas NMD Hu N.E.R.D Cream appears to be the third colorway of the silhouette, but there is still no word on an official release date. The shoe sports a cream-colored upper with an embroidery of "N.E.R.D" and Chinese characters in white on the top. Other highlights are pink trail-style laces paired with Khaki colored lace cage, matching EVA insert overlays, along with colorful heel logos. Finally, a white Boost midsole and rubber trail adidas superstar outsole tops it off.

Despite the fact that getting a picture of him smiling is about as rare as a pair of his kicks with adidas or Nike, he actually is quite the optimist and dreamer. Sure, some of those dreams involve him becoming the leader of the free world, but in between those grandiose hopes are semi-realistic ones, like making the Yeezy Boost 350 iconic.

Not everybody can wear Yeezy Boosts because of high prices and lack of availability. Sometimes they just don't fit, literally. I would want my kids to wear comfortable shoes so if adidas made Yeezy Boosts in their sizes, they would be considered along with other kicks. Sure, some ostensibly grown adults are going to look foolish buying a pair in the pathetic hopes that it will fit them, but the comedy that comes with that is surely worth the cost of making these in North West sizes.

The adidas Yeezy Boost adidas shoes 700 Salt is the newest Yeezy to arrive, and it's officially dropping tomorrow. The sneaker keep its simple with a neutral theme of light grey/sail and white all over its upper made of suede and mesh.
