Das "'68 Comeback Special" war der wahrscheinlich wichtigste Auftritt in Elvis' weltweiter Karriere. Seine Filmkarriere hatte ihn in den 60s bis dahin mehr oder weniger von der Musik-Bühne ferngehalten, und was noch wichtiger war: er sah in 68 besser aus und klang besser als jemals zuvor. Die weltweiten Verkäufe der gleichnamigen DVD mit 600.000 units seit 2004 zeigen deutlich, wie einflussreich und wichtig diese Show auch heute noch für die Fans ist. Nun endlich erscheint das Konzert auf 4 CDs in der Bookset-Serie. Hier ist buchstäblich alles zu hören, von den ersten Proben bis zur fertigen Show, natürlich auch mit Outtakes and selten gehörten Fragmenten.
